Our 2025 Impact Report is Now Available

We’re proud to share the CACNA1A Foundation’s 2025 Impact Report — a reflection of the meaningful progress our community achieved together this past year and the momentum building toward treatments.

In 2025, we reached several major milestones, including the launch of the first CACNA1A multidisciplinary clinic at UTHealth Houston, securing a dedicated ICD-10 code for CACNA1A-related neurodevelopmental disorder, and convening more than 70 global researchers to accelerate therapeutic development. These advances represent important steps toward improved care, stronger data, and future clinical trials.

We also expanded research investments, increased patient participation in studies, welcomed 194 new families to our global community, and continued building the scientific foundation needed to move promising therapies forward.

Perhaps most importantly, 2025 positioned our community for what lies ahead. With growing research readiness and strengthened infrastructure, 2026 is expected to mark a historic milestone — the launch of the first CACNA1A-specific clinical trial.

None of this progress would be possible without the families, researchers, clinicians, and supporters who make this work possible. Together, we are turning hope into action — and moving closer to treatments for every person affected by CACNA1A-related disorders.
