Why We Move:
Six years ago, a group of parents refused to accept the status quo for their children. They founded the CACNA1A Foundation to transform the lives of those living with CACNA1A-related disorders.
What started as a grassroots effort has exploded into a global weekend of movement to raise funds for CACNA1A Foundation. In 2026, there were 34 5K teams and 856 5k participants who joined forces to drive awareness and funding.

How our 5k Run, Walk, or Roll Event Works:
The beauty of a virtual 5K is that there are no boundaries. You choose the starting line.
Participate From Anywhere: Your neighborhood, a local track, or your favorite trail.
Move Your Way: Run, walk, or roll. This is a fully inclusive event designed for all abilities.
Choose Your Time: Complete your 5K (3.1 miles) at any point - preferably during the weekend of May 16th and 17th.
