Meet Michelle
Michelle Kielhold, PhD - Science Program Manager
Michelle has spent the last decade studying the genetic roots of conditions like autism, schizophrenia, and Parkinson’s Disease. This research has given her a deep appreciation for how much families living with neurological disorders need answers and advocates. She holds a BS in Neurobiology from UC Davis and a PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience from OHSU and is excited to put that background to work for the CACNA1A Foundation through research coordination and outreach efforts.
Outside of work, she’s enjoying the beautiful (but often rainy) Pacific Northwest with her husband, Rufus the dog, and Beans the cat.
