Kyle MacLeod is an accomplished accounting and finance professional with over 30 years of experience in both public accounting and private industry, holding both CPA and CMA designations. His primary role with the foundation is in assisting with the financial stewardship of its resources and financial planning.

Kyle’s commitment to the organization is deeply personal. In 2024, Kyle’s youngest daughter, Laney, a 20-year-old pre-med student, tragically passed away from Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP), having been diagnosed with epilepsy just three years prior. Genetic testing later revealed she was a carrier of a CACNA1A gene variant. 

 In honor of Laney’s legacy, Kyle is dedicated to advancing CACNA1A research and supporting families affected by similar diagnoses. He resides in Northern California with his wife and their oldest daughter.
